The Stranglers rocking King Tut's tent

By Carla Callaghan on Jul 12, 08 05:12 PM in

Hello again,

Not long back from seeing The Stranglers at the King Tuts tent. A pyschadelic brilliance of rock-esque songs with a fab 70's vibe. My dad got me into this brilliant group when i was a bairn (as they say here). They didn't disapoint playing all the old favourites including the anthemic "No More Heroes" and "Peaches"./

Weather wise, its pretty overcast....a little bit of rain, but not too bad... nothing seems to be stopping the revellers at T this year!

Next up is some Indie/rock action from Dalmarnock group, Glasvegas. These guys are my big tip-off for 2008....a brilliance of shoegaze/indie rock......fabulous and i can't wait to see them!

Rage Against the Machine, The Pogues and The Kooks to come up next. Again, another band introduced to me by my dad. Seeing Shane McGowan perform "Dirty Old Town".....well, i cany wait!

Over and out for now,

Carla xx
